The goal of Immanuel Baptist Kid’s Ministry is to introduce kids to Jesus Christ and to lay a foundation for spiritual growth that they can build on for the rest of their lives. We do this through Bible and discipleship based programming and by example. Our desire is to reach every child, wherever they are developmentally, and show them how a real and daily relationship with the Lord can completely change their lives!

We have a dedicated team of children’s ministry workers that strive to reach kids where they are and help them to come to a better understanding of who God is. Because we care about your children, all volunteers and paid employees are professionally background checked and reference checked before they are able to work in any capacity.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What do I need to know about Immanuel’s Nurseries?   We have loving, sanitary and age appropriate nurseries for Bed Babies, Toddlers (1 year and walking) and Two Year Olds, located on the first floor on the Children’s Building. All workers in these areas have been professionally background checked and have experience with these age groups.

As the parent of a child 2 years and younger, please include the following things in your child’s bag: 2 or 3 disposable diapers, a complete change of clothes and a bottle/sippy cup of milk, juice or water. Please LABEL all personal items so we can make sure your child’s things get home with you!

What safety precautions do you take with your volunteers and workers?  All of our workers are required to go through some form of screening. Volunteers are background and reference checked and are required to be members of the church a minimum of six months so we can help them identify their gifts and assist them in finding a place to serve. Paid employees are professionally background checked and personally interviewed. Day School employees are required to have CPR training every 2 years. Also, the preschool department (first floor) of our Children’s Building is equipped with a video surveillance system to help promote a safe environment.

What is KIDS ROCK?  KIDS ROCK is our midweek discipleship program for kids during the school year! We offer 3 different curriculums for three specific age groups: Lil’ K by KidMo for three and four year olds, Awana for kindergarteners through 4th grade and 4:12 Preteen Ministry for 5th and 6th graders. We try to be very intentional with our programming and utilize tools that will reach each age group right where they are. These curriculums have been specifically chosen to minister to your children to the best of our ability!!

What is Fish Camp?  Fish Camp is a summer weekend camp for kids that have completed 3rd-6th grades. The Lord gave us a vision for an affordable, quality camp for preteens in this area in 2005 and He hasn’t taken His Hand off of it since!
