KIDS ROCK is our new Wednesday night discipleship program for kids! We offer three different curriculums for three specific age groups. Our Awana program is for kindergarten to 4th graders on Wednesday nights. It consists of three parts: Scripture memorization, Games and a Bible story time. It’s amazing to see the kids memorize the Bible and actually understand what they are memorizing! We have “Sparks” for 1st and 2nd graders, “Truth and Training” Girls for 3rd-4th grade girls and “Truth and Training” Boys for 3rd-4th grade boys. Philip Johnson is our Awana Commander and he is assisted by Mandy Holland, Awana Secretary. Awana meets on Wednesday night from 6:30-8 PM, September-April. 4:12 Preteen Ministry is our Wednesday night program for 5th & 6th graders. We use several curriculums from J12 Ministries, Billy Graham Association and others to help preteens understand what following Jesus and sharing Him with others really looks like. The format of this program will look a little more like youth ministry than traditional children’s ministry to help these kids transition to their next phase of growth physically and spiritually. Lauren Musick will direct this program that meets on Wednesdays from 6:30-8 PM, September-April.

Sunday School:  We are incredibly blessed to have such an amazing group of Sunday School teachers! Beginning at age 2, we have Sunday School classes at 8:15 AM and 9:45 AM for every age group. Our classes are very active, utilizing different learning techniques to help the children learn as much as they possibly can. All volunteers are reference checked before working with our kids! Sunday School is offered year round.

MP3 (Made for Praise (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is our dynamic K-6th grade Kid’s Choir. They meet from 5:30 to 7 PM on Sunday evenings. Kids will be working on a musical and will be singing in worship services as well. Cari Johnson is the MP3 Director and she is assisted by April Nance, Vicki Potts and Laurie Thompson. Kid’s Choir runs September-March.

Immanuel’s Treasures Buddy Ministry: Special needs kids are warm, loving and ready to teach you things you’ve never even considered. We welcome all children at Immanuel Baptist and we have a place for your child. If you need information about this ministry, please contact Lauren.

Vacation Bible School: June 11-15, 2012 VBS is a week long time of concentrated learning and fun for kids 3 years-5th grade every summer. This is a free event and open to the community. Mark your calendars!! More details to come…

Fish Camp is a summer weekend camp for all kids that have completed 3rd-6th grades. Camp runs Thursday night-Sunday afternoon. Sign up begins in April. More details to come…
