“This I Know” Day School

The purpose of “This I Know” Day School is to provide a happy, healthy, caring and Christ-centered environment for early childhood development and education. We want to encourage your child to become the person God wants them to be. We will stimulate your child mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually at his or her individual stage of development. Our program is designed to meet the needs of your preschooler by utilizing centers. We offer creative art, dramatic play, natural sciences, story time, blocks, computer time, music, outside play and community awareness. Our program will provide your child a safe and loving place to learn.

  • AGES: Toddler (1 year & walking)-Prekindergarten
  • TIME: 9:00 AM-2:30 PM
  • DAYS OPEN: Tuesdays & Thursdays

ENROLLMENT: You may enroll your child for one day (you MUST choose which day) or for both days. All children must be pre-enrolled before the first day of school. An enrollment session is from September-May. To insure a place for your child, early registration is wise. Enrollment is based on order of registration and availability for each age group.

PRE-REGISTRATION: Pre-registration will begin March 1. Registration forms will be available at the Welcome Center in the foyer of the church and in the Children’s Building. Registration forms and fees will also be accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the previously mentioned dates. Contact Jennifer Skinner if you have any questions.

REGISTRATION FEE: $50 per child
This is a once a year (September-May) fee due at the time of enrollment. This fee is non-refundable.

TUITION FEES: All tuition is due at the first of the month. After the 10th of the month, a $10 late fee is charged.

Two Days a Week

One Day a Week 

$85/month: One child
$75/month: Second child
$55/month: One child
$45/month: Second child

No adjustment will be made for absences. This includes times the school is closed for holidays or other occasions.

EARLY DROP-OFF: Early drop-off is available at 8:00 AM. The fee is an additional $2.00 per day.

DROP-IN FEE: Drop-ins are welcome. The cost is $15 per child per day. You must call ahead for verification of space!

CLOSINGS: We will be closed for the week of Thanksgiving, the weeks of and after Christmas and for the week of MISD Spring Break. We will also follow the decision made by Marshall ISD regarding inclement weather closing or early dismissal. Check local stations for announcements.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Your child will need a labeled lunch with a drink each day (no soft drinks or glass containers).
  • Please bring food your child can eat easily, that does not need to be warmed. ALERGY ALERT: We do have children in our program with peanut allergies. Please DO NOT bring food with peanut products in them!
  • All children will need a mat, pillow and blanket for rest time.
  • All children need a complete change of clothes, just in case.
  • No child will be accepted if he or she has a fever of 100 or more or if they appear ill. All children must be fever free for 24 hours prior to coming to school. If your child becomes ill during the day, you will be contacted and asked to pick up your child as soon as possible.
  • Current immunization records are required for every child.
  • We have a video security system in place in each room and exit for your child’s safety. Our doors are locked throughout the day, also.
  • All teachers and substitutes are reference and background checked before working with kids. They are also required to keep current on their CPR Certification.
