The Bible, in and of itself, is a miracle. Think about it — over a time span of 1500 years, God supernaturally moved upon 40 faithful men, living in 3 continents, resulting in them writing down the exact words of God in three different languages. In spite of all of this, God’s Word is consistent throughout in its theme and teachings.

IBC260 NT Reading Plan

God then led His people to recognize these divine writings and to distinguish them from everything else that has ever been written. Then God’s people brought these 66 books together. The preservation and survival of the Bible is as miraculous as its writing. Then God gave men technological knowledge to copy and transmit the Bible so that all people could have it written in over 500 languages.

All of this took place because God has something to say to you.

There are several ways you can follow along with the reading plan:

  • Pick up a copy of the plan at the IBC main campus.
  • Download the plan here (PDF).
  • Use the Bible app on your iOS Device and search “F260 Reading Plan”.
  • Pick up a copy of the Foundations Journal for expanded resources.

Whatever method is the most convenient for you, kick the New Year off right by making a commitment to explore God’s Word in a bold new way.

Psalm 78:4

“We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.”

Have You Ever Wondered What the Bible Actually Says?

Join hundreds of others at IBC in 2020 as we read through the New Testament over the course of a single year. We’re challenging our entire church to participate in the IBC260 NT reading plan, which will walk us chronologically through the Bible by reading just a few chapters a day for 5 days a week. We’re confident that intentionally walking through God’s Word will challenge you like never before.

The journey begins January 6 as we kick off the IBC260 NT plan together.

How Does It Work?

This plan expects believers to read 1 or 2 chapters a day for 5 days each week, with an allowance for weekends off. The 2 off-days a week are built in so you may catch up on days where you’re unable to read in order to digest more of the Word. The IBC260 NT plan encourages believers to not only read their selected passages, but to also keep a H.E.A.R. Journal. (Click here to see a sample H.E.A.R. Journal.)

Memorizing the Word

Throughout scripture, Bible memorization plays a vital role in the growth of every believer. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” Therefore, along with the IBC260 NT reading plan we are also challenging our people to memorize one verse per week, which will be designated on the Reading Plan Card.

How Can I Join In?

Our church family will begin the Foundations (F260) reading plan together by starting Week 1 on Monday, January 7th.
