Hey IBC,
What a fantastic Easter we shared together! As your pastor, I want to say a huge "thank you" to all who served in many capacities! The Lord worked through you in so many mighty ways! Attendance was phenomenal in both services, and we were full of people you invited. We had decisions in both services by folks to begin a new relationship with Christ! The Lord is working at IBC, and I am incredibly grateful to all of you for playing a role in that. This Sunday, we will be back on our regular Sunday schedule with services and Life Groups resuming at their normal times. Come join us again as we worship together.
MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT:
We are just over a week away from our long-awaited IBC 75th Anniversary celebration! I am excited to celebrate how the Lord used just a few faithful people to grow and establish what we enjoy today at Immanuel Baptist Church. It is difficult to focus on just one of the many mighty things God has done through our fellowship over the years, but we will do our best to highlight and honor the Lord for what he continues to do at IBC! Please make every effort to be here for this unique and exciting day in the life of our Church!
PASTOR'S PRAYER REQUEST:
Church, would you join me in praying for the people who began a walk with the Lord this past Easter Sunday? Pray that we as a church will be available to walk beside them and disciple them as they open their eyes to their new life in Christ. It can be an exciting but somewhat overwhelming decision for new Christians, so join me as we continue to pray and support our new brothers and sisters in the Lord.
SERMON PREVIEW:
This week we will be finishing up our "Chiseled" series, as we have continued to look at the life and growth of Peter. This week we will be looking at how the Lord ultimately used a redeemed Peter to spread the Gospel and the rise of the Church.
WE ARE STILL THE CHURCH!
