Hey IBC! We are already off to a great start to a fantastic summer! The Lord has already done many things for which we are incredibly grateful. We are about to embark on one of my favorite weeks of the year! VBS IS NEXT WEEK! We already have more children pre-registered than ever before, and we expect a phenomenal turnout! We will have some Children's Ministry shirts available for purchase in the Atrium this week if you would like to support this incredible ministry. Children's shirts are $5, and the adult shirts are $10.
MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT: I cannot begin to express our gratitude to all of you who made Love Week a success. Over 1,000 people heard the Gospel presented, and at least 10 people that we know of gave their lives to the Lord. Also, countless people were served by the membership of IBC! We had over 140 amazing volunteers that allowed us to make this Love Week the best yet! Let me say a huge thank you to all who participated, and the staff who poured their hearts into this week!
PASTOR'S PRAYER REQUEST: I am so excited about many things this summer, but one of the things I am greatly looking forward to is sending two teams on foreign mission trips. Next Friday, we will be sending a team of IBC members to Ecuador. They will join Marshall native Steve Thompson, who has lived there for over 30 years, in working numerous Bible camps and helping with a few building projects. Would you join me in prayer for the team's safety and that they will have multiple opportunities to share the Gospel with the people of Ecuador!
SERMON PREVIEW: Americans have been obsessed with the subject of angels. From Hollywood to popular books, we have developed many thoughts about angels that are utter myths. This week we will look at the role that angels play in the Kingdom of God. Go ahead and make plans to join us this Sunday!
